Oxfords

Welcoming Spring with this very Chic Shoe Trend... what could be better?... ))

This shoe is a fashion magic cluster of intellect, charm, chic, feminine and masculine rolled into one. The Oxford shoe originated in Ireland and Scotland and made it’s way into men’s wardrobes  in the US, and only recently have become a typical part of the female wardrobe.

With the menswear trend in full effect this winter 2013/14 there is no denying that the oxford shoe is right there front and center. Oxford shoes are a classic staple for any fashionista’s closet, similar to the loafer, they capture that dapper, yet masculine feel, certainly ideal for pulling off the menswear trends this season. Many people think these boyish oxford shoes can only be worn with menswear style suits, and quite frankly, that is just not the case. There are many different ways to wear the classic oxford shoe, even with a girly twist by pairing with a skirt.

Oxfords give outfits an instant classy charm, and are perfect for geek-chic as well as masculine-chic.

The women’s Oxford is the perfect way to transition from winter’s wardrobe to the spring's wardrobe, and gives outfits a satisfying pulled together feel. Oxfords can be made very well with leather, also still be perfectly comfortable and nicely made with plastic or rubber soles.
